Nelson Mandela, the Ex-South African and A.N.C. President passed away at the age of 95 on the evening of the 5th local time.

South African President Jacop Zuma confirmed the news:
"He is now resting. He is now at peace", Zuma said.
"Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father."

Many people call Mandela one of the greatest heroes of South Africa.
Mandela fought against racism during the era of Apartheid in South Africa.
He played a pivotal role for black people in his country getting equal rights.
He reminds us of wish for peace and tell us message of peace.
It is now time for shouts of peace together instead of him.

MANNAM is serving the community.
MANNAM Volunteer Association works for world peace.
He is dead but, we should be of good cheer encouraged his word.
I swear we'll make peace provided you do, too.
We should make a forum for harmony and unity without war.
He is dead but, there is also one of peace advocate Man Hee Lee who is our hope.
He also shouts for world peace at the head.
We should try to make world peace following his footprints and listening his voice.

One big step toward the World Peace, MANNAM

   These days we are so busy with our own life, so we barely care with another else except for our boundaries. Before I meet MANNAM volunteer association, I either didn’t think about peace. However, as I join and participate in MANNAM, I see the hope of the world peace and found the love.Even I become to desire the world peace.

   This year, MANNAM hosted the peace walk for the world peace. With wishing the world peace, the Thousands of people from all around world came to the Olympics Park at Seoul. Till now, many people have been long for the peace, and some of them got the price. Like this, we have been desire the world peace, but nothing changed. Wars break out, lots of children in Africa died and still discrimination exists. Then how can I believe the peace will come through the MANNAM? Why?

   The peace advocate Man Hee Lee, honor president of MANNAM, says “Between us there truly are no boundaries, we are all one family, and I wish for each of you a life filled with happiness and prosperity. MANNAM continues to flourish because of the support of our members. Due to the light our members bring to it, MANNAM is fast becoming a light strong enough to illuminate the world. When I see how people from all over the world have come together to create such an inspiring community, regardless of culture and language, I become filled with hope and hold strong faith in mankind. Let us learn to pursue our own. I wish the richest of blessing on you, your families and your nations. As representatives of your nations, you are exceptional and invaluable people who hold a very dear place in MANNAM.”

   He hopes equality, harmony and better world. Many people also speak about the world peace but there are few people who fulfill their words. However, Man Hee Lee actually does a lot of efforts for world peace, not just words. Man Hee Lee’s walking toward the world peace is Keep going and I expect the real world peace. And for that I can gladly participate in their walking.

 China proposes holding informal six-party meeting on N. Korea


BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Yonhap) -- China has proposed holding an informal meeting this month with senior officials from six nations involving the long-stalled negotiations aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear weapons program, a diplomatic source said Thursday.
The proposal was made in August before China's chief nuclear envoy, Wu Dawei, held talks in Pyongyang last week with his North Korean counterpart, Kim Kye-gwan, the source said on the condition of anonymity, in another indication Beijing is stepping up its efforts to re-start the six-party talks.
Organized by the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), affiliated with China's foreign ministry, the proposed date of Sept. 18 for the so-called Track 1.5 meeting in Beijing coincides with the eighth anniversary of a 2005 agreement when the six nations achieved their first breakthrough in resolving the North's nuclear standoff during the multilateral dialogue.
"The Chinese side offered a Track 1.5 meeting with senior diplomats from the six-party member states, including North Korea in the wake of the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 19 Joint Declaration," the source said, referring to the 2005 agreement.
China's foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei confirmed that the CIIS will "hold a seminar on Sept. 18 to review the past course of the six-party talks."
   During a regular press briefing on Thursday, Hong said the Beijing seminar was organized to "celebrate the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 19 Joint Declaration as well as the 10th anniversary of the six-party talks." He declined to say who would join the meeting.
During the talks between Wu and Kim in Pyongyang, North Korea agreed to send its nuclear envoy, Ri Yong-ho, to the proposed meeting, according to the source.
China has also asked South Korea, the U.S. and Japan to send their chief nuclear negotiators to the informal six-party talks, but the three nations were cold to the Chinese proposal because North Korea has shown no signs of giving up its nuclear ambitions, the source said.
"It is uncertain whether South Korea, the U.S. and Japan would send their chief nuclear envoys to the proposed meeting in Beijing," the source said.
"At stake is whether North Korea would change its stance on denuclearization, but there are no such signs," the source said. "Under the circumstance, it is difficult for the Chinese efforts to make a significant achievement."
   Hong, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, urged nations to resume the six-party talks.
"The six-party talks remain an important platform for the realization of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and also an important mechanism for the improvement of relations between relevant parties," Hong said.
"We hope that our relevant parties will stick to the six-party talks and solve relevant issues through dialogue," Hong said.
North Korea, which has conducted three nuclear tests since 2006, walked out of the six-party talks that also involve South Korea, the U.S., China, Japan and Russia in early 2009. Following its third nuclear test in February this year, Pyongyang has said its nuclear program is not negotiable.
Tensions on the Korean Peninsula, however, have been eased in recent months as North Korea has reached out to Seoul and Washington, expressing its willingness to rejoin the six-party talks.
South Korea, the U.S. and Japan have called on North Korea to demonstrate its seriousness about denuclearizing through concrete action as a precondition to resuming the six-party dialogue with them.
North Korea has expressed its willingness to rejoin the six-party talks but has shown no signs of accepting such conditions set by Seoul and Washington. Instead, North Korea has insisted on being recognized as a nuclear power.

Beijing has had several rounds of talks with Russia, South and North Korea, Japan, and the United States.
Beijing has also hosted several rounds of six-party talks aimed at convincing North Korea to give up its nuclear programs.
However, Formal six-way talks concerning North Korea's nuclear weapons development, hosted by China, have been stalled since last November.
South Korea, China, Russia and Japan have also been calling on North Korea to re-join the six-nation talks.

[MANNAM World News] Obama to Commemorate 60th Anniversary of Korean War Armistice

President Obama will commemorate the 60 year anniversary of the Korean War armistice today, marking the end of hostilities on the peninsula.
Communist North Korea invaded South Korea with 135,000 troops on June 25, 1950, and three years later with more than 2.5 million dead, including more than more than 36,000 Americans who died in combat, the war ended.
Joined by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Obama will lay a wreath at the memorial in Washington, D.C.
On Thursday, Obama issued a declaration making today National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day, noting that the conflict “defined a generation and decided the fate of a nation.”
“We remember ordinary men and women who showed extraordinary courage through 3 long years of war, fighting far from home to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met,” Obama said in his proclamation. “This anniversary marks the end of a war. But it also commemorates the beginning of a long and prosperous peace.”
It is often referred to as the “Forgotten War,” because fighting half a world away garnered little domestic attention at the time. But the remnants of the conflict are still felt today. North Korea and South Korea remain divided, and there is still no peace treaty between the two countries.
According to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs there are still 2 million living veterans of that war.
“No monument will ever be worthy of their service, and no memorial will fully heal the ache of their sacrifice,” Obama said in the proclamation. “But as a grateful nation, we must honor them — not just with words, but with deeds.”

The divided Koreas remain technically at war since an armistice stopped fighting between them in 1953. The Korean War is a national tragedy (for our people). The division of the Korean Peninsula became permanent after the Korean War.  And this year is the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
We still was not a united Korea. I hope that the day of reunification would come as soon as possible.
To do that, I work hard with MANNAM Volunteer Association for the unification of the Korean Peninsula. Also, we are of one mind  Man Hee Lee, peace advocate who struggled for the world peace.

Nelson Mandela led the struggle to replace the apartheid regime of South Africa with a multi-racial democracy, and was the country's first black president.




This quote is particularly significant from a man whose words have had a huge impact across world politics. Mandela is famous for his personal struggle against oppression, imprisoned for the sake of social change. He said "I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities... It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."



Nelson Mandela was born in 1918 into the Madiba tribal clan - part of the Thembu people - in a small village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. He qualified as a lawyer and made it his vocation to campaign against apartheid, the system devised by the all-white National Party which oppressed the black majority.
As resistance to apartheid became violent, and in a climate of police brutality and clashes with protestors, Mandela, now Vice President of the African National Congress, launched a campaign of sabotage against the country's economy. He was eventually arrested and charged with sabotage and attempting to violently overthrow the government.
Despite many years in jail, he emerged to become He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. Resistance to apartheid grew, mainly against the new Pass laws, which dictated where blacks were allowed to live and work.


Many people wish to world peace. However, they would not have had the courage and fortitude to achieve that. We must find a way of achieving a more access to peace.
To achieve this  we need a man of peace leader as Nelson Mandela.
I mentioned  several times, Man Hee Lee Peace Leader is indispensable for the world peace with Nelson Mandela in this generation  and he acts to work for the world peace as a peace advocate.
He tried hard to achieve his purpose. He have many good trits we can take on. We should copy his mind.
