Celebrations of World peace, 65th Anniversary of liberation
Significant ambassadors of the world from 34 countries and a number of honored guests attended the festival, celebrating the independence of the Republic of Korea. Many events were held with a yearning for the world community to coexist with harmony. Brilliant performances commemorating the noble sacrifice of Patriotic Martyrs, foreign booths introducing the cultures from around the world, traditional booths introducing the specialties of 8 provinces of Korea, and MANNAM’s special booths, all filled the Square of the Olympic Park with the spirit of the festival and peace.

Taegeuk (Korean national flag) waves to greet the honored guests
At the ‘Triumph Festival celebrating of the 65th anniversary of Liberation’ ambassadors of the world from 34 countries and honored guests from all walks of life, attended and filled the location with harmony and peace.
A wave of hands and national flags from the people of MANNAM started from the entrance of the Peace Square and instilled a deep and lasting impression on all the VIPs who came with the heart of joy of liberation, which made it even more of a precious moment in the restoration of the light for the Patriotic Martyrs.
In addition to this, at the Peace Square, which was an opened event to the public, not only Korean and international VIPs participated, but the society of National merit, multicultural families, disabled groups, and a large number of citizens, over 200,000 people, came to share the joy of victory, and to remind ourselves the meaning of independence.
Opening Ceremony
Through MANNAM’s, light meets light, the east and west is being harmonized.
The opening ceremony describes the world becoming one with the light of victory. Representatives of the nations, the chairwoman of MANNAM, and Ambassadors to Korea, were all presented with dynamic images and special performances which shared true meaning of independence and the longing for becoming one in the future.
Declaration of Korean Independence
For complete restoration of light, the 33 representatives of the nation proclaim the declaration of Korean Independence.
The 33 representatives from cultural, arts, academia, and religious fields were one in heart and mind. They hope to emulate the 33 crusaders of 1919 who proclaimed the declaration of Korean Independence. Lee, Man Hee (a war veteran of the Korean War), delivered a speech proclaiming the peoples’ desire and wish for the reunification of our motherland. The appearance of complete recovery by the Republic of Korea was proclaimed to be the light of world peace.
The Bibimbap of victory
The beauty and harmony of Bibimbap
The mixing in of all the wild vegetables and traditional herbs is likened to an image of the world being harmonized into one, which is displayed in the victory performance of the Bibimbop. This large bibimbap which was made to serve 2,000 guests consisted of 12 ingredients which were made into a perfect shape of the Korean flag and the VIPs and citizens were extremely generous in their praises.
It is a place for the rich texture of harmony and pleasures of victory that overcomes nationalities and religions to be together.
Hand-printed Korean flag hoisting ceremony
The light of Korea covers the world.
The national flag of Korea fluttered in the sky over Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation (SOSFO) Holy Land of Peace, to be seen representing the ‘World Peace and Independence Festival of Victory’ event.
The special hoisting ceremony of the large Korean national flag made by the hand prints of approximately 17,000 people raises the status of the nation. It meaning is the light of the sky which is flying toward Korea bringing down the darkness and welcoming victory.
The hand-printed Korean flag in the sky gives us a special, moving feeling of the Independence Day. Now Korea is becoming the light of the sky and is shining toward the world.
The biggest (60M X 40M) hand-printed Korean flag - Korean Guinness No.73890
MANNAM Corporation hosts a special event which made a super-sized hand-printed Korean flag, consisting of 17,337 citizens’ prints, on June 6, 2009. On July 18, 2009 this special flag was listed in the Korean Guinness by the Korea Record Institute and is now kept in the Seoul National Cemetery.
Man Hee Lee peace leader is a man worthy of one's admiration.
He worked hard for world peace. Especially, I am impressed with his works for world peace events and festival.
