Born on July 18, 1918 in South Africa, Nelson Mandela was the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He played a pivotal role for black people in his country getting equal rights.
He is still the most admired man on the planet. He has retired from active politics but remains a concerned and influential citizen of the New South Africa. We hope that he will best of luck for a speedy recovery.
It is worth emulating his spirit who worked hard to make the world a peaceful place.
